Arrived Sonoma..immediately ran to St Francis for hit of "Old Vine" Zin..Yummy

Flying south in AM to Sonoma Ca for a few days of wine, food and romance, in that order. What a great way to get into the holidays. As usual I will try to stay clear of the big names in wineries, and search out new "little guys" in the industry. Maybe organic, maybe not. The soil, the vitner, and most importantly, if it makes me smile when it passes over my lips and hits my palate, and says to me, Yummy, that's what counts.

Tis the season to be jolly, so drink good and "Yummy" wine, like Abacella Reserve Tempranillo, Southern Oregon

Last nite an evening with friends..and bottles of Gloria Ferrer Royal Cuvee Vintage Reserve 2000.
This went so well with a mix of from smoked salmon, bacon wraped dates, stufed mushrooms,
and on and on. Holidays are a supurb time of year for the "bubbly", but why not all year long ?
Anyway......Yummy

Enjoyed a B-Day dinner last nite..Monster Prime Rib..and a Sterling Reserve Cabernet 05,, 92pts/

Just opened a great bottle of 07'Reustle Pinot Noir "Pishon Bloc" Roseburg, Oregon to have with homemade pasta and hot spicy sausages.
This pinot just goes so well on the nose and palate, it's just ......well.....Yummy

Ok, I just gotta say, fresh halibut, with fresh butternut squash risotto, and a bottle of hard to get 07' Gruner Veltliner from Reustle "Prayer Rock" Vineyards in Southern Oregon....just doesn't get any better than that.
